Most Craft Kettle equipment comes with a five-year limited warranty on tank stainless fabrication and welding, a two-year limited warranty, and a separate manufacturer’s warranty for parts not manufactured by Craft Kettle. You also receive complimentary telephone technical support for the first two years after purchase. To extend your coverage beyond this limited warranty, you can purchase Kettle Assist.

Craft Kettle brewhouse packages include equipment from both Craft Kettle and from a variety of great partners to form a fully integrated brewing system. Kettle Assist gives you one-stop extended warranty, service, and support from Craft Kettle’s expert brewers, engineers, and technicians who are also available for brewing and financial planning advice.

Above and beyond the Craft Kettle standard warranty, Kettle Assist includes:

  • Industry leading TEN (10) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on tank stainless fabrication and welding free from defects in material and workmanship as long as you keep Kettle Assist for one year after install.*

Kettle Assist extends to controls and automation assistance as well

Scenarios

A chiller compressor fails, bringing your entire cellar cooling down. 

This event may be considered a standard warranty claim or a major accidental damage claim. In either case, the event can be covered under the Kettle Assist warranty. This event is not covered under the standard warranty coverage except as to the chiller manufacturer’s warranty and would not be covered if the event is accidental damage and the brewery has already made a major claim under the Kettle Assist warranty. Craft Kettle would first assist in attempting to address the situation remotely over the phone or via video chat in order to get the brewery up and running as soon as possible. If the chiller cannot be fixed remotely. Craft Kettle would send out a technician to repair the chiller. If the chiller needs to be replaced, a new chiller would be built and sent to site for replacement. The brewery would be responsible for travel and freight expenses related to the claim as the warranty would consist of an on-site repair or replacement.

A new brewer accidentally runs a forklift blade through the side of your lauter tun.

This event would be considered major accidental damage that can be covered under the Kettle Assist warranty if the brewers actions do not rise to the level of gross negligence. This event is not covered under standard warranty coverage and would not be covered if a brewery has already made a major claim under the Kettle Assist warranty. Craft Kettle would send out a diagnosis team to assess whether the tank can be repaired or needs to be replaced. If the tank can be repaired, our sanitary welders would come on-site to do the repair work. If the tank needs to be replaced, a new tank would be built and sent to site for replacement. The brewery would be responsible for travel and freight expenses related to the claim as the warranty would consist of an on-site repair or replacement.

A power surge at your facility damages components in your brewhouse control panel and cellar control panel

This event would be considered major accidental damage that can be covered under the Kettle Assist warranty if the electricians actions do not rise to the level of gross negligence. This event is not covered under standard warranty coverage and would not be covered if a brewery has already made a major claim under the Kettle Assist warranty. Craft Kettle would send out a diagnosis team to assess and repair the damage on-site. The brewery would be responsible for travel and freight expenses related to the claim as the warranty would consist of an on-site repair or replacement.

The gearbox that controls the rake and plow on a mash/lauter tun seizes and stops operating

This event may be considered a standard warranty claim or a major accidental damage claim. In either case, the event can be covered under the Kettle Assist warranty. This event is not covered under the standard warranty coverage except as to the gearbox manufacturer’s warranty and would not be covered if the event is accidental damage and the brewery has already made a major claim under the Kettle Assist warranty. Craft Kettle would first assist in attempting to address the situation remotely over the phone or via video chat in order to get the brewery up and running as soon as possible. If the drive cannot be fixed remotely. Craft Kettle would send out replacement parts via express second-day air for free or via overnight air for $9 and a technician would come on site to replace and connect the drive. The brewery would be responsible for travel expenses related to the claim as the warranty would consist of an on-site replacement.

* Limited Warranty. Craft Kettle agrees to correct any material defect related to the fabrication or welding of stainless tanks discovered within sixty (60) months of manufacture (extended to a total of one-hundred and twenty (120) months when Buyer purchases and pays for no less than twelve (12) consecutive months of Kettle Assist) or any other material defect discovered within twenty-four (24) months of the date of manufacture by repair or replacement of the nonconforming Products so long as the equipment was manufactured by Craft Kettle and Buyer issues notice to Craft Kettle of the defect (a “Notice of Defect”) within seven (7) days of discovery thereof. Upon receiving a Notice of Defect, Craft Kettle will promptly repair or replace the non-conforming Products, unless in the reasonable opinion of Craft Kettle the Products are defective to the extent that it is not technically or economically feasible to repair or replace the non-conforming Products, in which case Craft Kettle will refund all amounts paid by Buyer to Craft Kettle with respect to the non-conforming Products. CRAFT KETTLE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING THE FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF THE MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT DELIVERED TO BUYER UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED TO IN WRITING. FURTHER, CRAFT KETTLE SHALL HAVE NO WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS WITH RESPECT TO DEFECTS ATTRIBUTABLE TO: (I) NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, (II) ANY DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCTS NOT CAUSED BY CRAFT KETTLE, (III) THE IMPROPER INSTALLATION, ERECTION, REPAIR, OR MAINTENANCE OF THE PRODUCTS, OR (IV) THE FAILURE TO STORE THE PRODUCTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERALLY ACCEPTED INDUSTRY PRACTICE OR SPECIFIED PROCEDURES OR SPECIFICATIONS. Buyer assumes all risk and liability of the use of any materials or equipment purchased from Craft Kettle. Any materials or equipment not manufactured by Craft Kettle, are only warranted in so much as warranted by the manufacturer or distributor of such materials or equipment and in no event shall any warranty period be greater than twenty-four (24) months from the date of delivery. Otherwise, all such Products are sold on an “AS IS” basis. CRAFT KETTLE ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES arising out of or related to the defective materials or equipment. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION IN THESE TERMS, CRAFT KETTLE’S MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER A SALES ORDER SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE CONTRACT SUM. All costs of dismantling, reinstallation, freight, and the time and expense of Craft Kettle’s personnel and representatives for site travel and diagnosis under this warranty shall be borne by Buyer unless such charges are accepted in writing by Craft Kettle.

1 Kettle Assist is only available for equipment purchased from Craft Kettle as a part of a Brewhouse Package that includes the standard spare parts package line item and for new fermentation vessels and brite tanks purchased at least six months after brewhouse commissioning when Kettle Assist is purchased within 30 days of brewhouse commissioning or via special promotion. Replacements due to normal wear and tear are available only for parts that are worn beyond use due to normal use and reasonably need to be replaced. Kettle Assist can be cancelled at any time.

 2 The Kettle Assist terms will extend to all additional cellar tanks that are purchased from Craft Kettle at least six months after brewhouse commissioning at no additional cost to the brewery for purchases totalling up to one-half the value of the original brewhouse package.

3 Brewery is responsible for paying travel costs, including mileage to and from the facility at the IRS standard mileage rates as well as GSA per diem lodging and meal rates. Brewery is also responsible for all freight, unload, and rigging costs for any replacement equipment or parts, other than those listed under the “Small Parts” category on Craft Kettle’s website.

4 Accidental damage coverage is an extension of the extended equipment warranty terms to include damage caused by human error that does not arise to or above the level of gross negligence. A claim is defined as damage from a single event to a single line item on the order.

5 Extended technical support is offered over the phone and by email during Craft Kettle’s extended after hours from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm central time.

6 Craft Kettle will cover the cost of sending replacement parts via second day airfreight for all damaged pumps, motors, gearboxes, and parts listed under the “Small Parts” category on Craft Kettle’s website. Replacement requests will be assessed and processed during normal business hours.

7 Craft Kettle will credit one-half the original purchase price of any standard design fermentation vessel or brite tank towards the purchase of a larger fermentation vessel or brite tank and allow the brewery to swap the tanks during the new tank delivery when the new purchase is made at least six (6) months after brewhouse commissioning and at least three (3) months prior to the end of the Kettle Assist warranty period and the Brewer continues to pay for Kettle Assist until the new items are delivered to the brewery or the Kettle Assist term ends, whichever is earlier.

8 Craft Kettle will provide up to twenty (20) hours per year of complimentary brewing and financial planning advice.

9 All charges will be automatically withdrawn from the brewery’s bank account via an ACH draw each month. Accounts more than five (5) days overdue will be suspended, and accounts more than fifteen (15) days overdue will be automatically cancelled.
